Call for volunteers - Visiting Books Service |
Position Title: Visiting Books Service Volunteer Location: Various locations throughout the County of Brant; including John Noble Home, Telfer Place, Queensview Retirement Community Schedule: 1-2 hours bi-weekly, year-round (July & August excepted) PurposeThe Visiting Books Service delivers a variety of library materials to patrons who are unable to visit the Library due to mobility challenges and/or health concerns. Visiting Books Service aligns with the mission of the County of Brant Public Library to “cultivate inclusivity and empower lifelong learning”. Primary Responsibilities

Year-round volunteer opportunities |
Adults can become Friends of the Library to help run fundraisers, our annual book sale, and much more. High school students (ages 14-18) can apply to become Teen Reviewers. |
Make a donation |
Financial donations expand our collections and improve our programs. Donations of $10 or more can receive a tax receipt. Contact our CEO Kelly Bernstein if you would like to make legacy gift to the library. |
Literary Angels |
Celebrate special occasions or special people by dedicating a book in their memory. For a minimum donation of $25, we'll select a new hardcover title and place a Literary Angel bookplate inside, identifying the person being recognized. You will receive an income tax receipt. We'll notify the honouree and inform them of the gift you have made to the library. |
